FAQ's - Fuse
Q: What is Fuse?
Fuse (Forming Unity Sharing Eternity) is an environment for 4th-5th grade students. In our Sunday worship service we get together for crazy cool games, live worship, a relevant message geared towards issues 4th & 5th graders face, and small groups where students can connect relationally and discuss the message. Beyond Sunday we do several events per year where students are encouraged to invite their friends and grow in community.
Q: When does Fuse meet?
Fuse meets on Sunday mornings at 10:45am in room 758 starting on Sunday May 30, 2010.
Q: What events does Fuse have?
Fuse has several events per year for our students and families.
Q: What is a Small Group?
Small groups are the heartbeat of Fuse and one of the most important things we do as a church across all environments. In Fuse, a small group is a group of students that have been put together by grade, gender, and as best as we can by school/location. They meet together each Sunday at Fuse to connect with other students and their leaders in order to grow deeper in their relationships with God. Typically groups will discuss the message they heard that day and how it relates to their lives. Small groups are encouraged to regularly get together for social events and outings outside of Sunday morning to help build relationships and have fun! Small groups will stay together throughout 4th & 5th grade, multiplying as needed as the groups grow in size.
Q: What curriculum do you use?
We teach through the Bible in a relevant way that is geared towards issues 4th & 5th graders face.
Q: What are the requirements to being a leader in Fuse?
The basic requirements are that all leaders must complete an RPC application & background check along with going through a shadowing process that is accompanied by an interview with the ministry director. Students can serve in Fuse, however they must be a full ministry removed(high school ministry or above) in order to do so. Please visit our “Interested in Serving” page to get started.
Q: Can a parent be a small group leader of their student?
We encourage parents to be small group leaders, but not in their own student's group. In these important transition years, we want someone in addition to their parents speaking into their lives.
Q: How can I, as a parent, get involved with Fuse?
We have several serving opportunities: Small group leader, Host, Games, Events, Administration, Care, Media, Website, and more. If you would be
interested in serving in Fuse, please visit our “Interested in Serving” page to get started or you may contact the ministry director by clicking here.
Q: Can my student bring a friend to Fuse?
Absolutely-positively-YES! We want to provide an environment that is so incredible that your student wants to tell others about it.
