FAQ's - Studio3
Q: What do I have to do to be able to serve in Studio 3?
We love to have anyone interested in serving shadow a current small group leader or person in the position in which they are interested in serving. This allows for great insight and appropriate placement. Before or shortly after the first shadow, an interview will be done with you by the Director. After the interview you will be scheduled to “shadow” a couple more times to allow accurate placement. Volunteer applications are available here.
Q: My child has an allergy, how will the leaders of the classroom know?
We require all parents to complete a registration form which asks for allergy and special needs information for each child. If your child has an allergy or special need that the teacher would need to be aware of, this will be noted on the child’s badge or wrist band in red. It is the parent’s responsibility to make sure the child wears/obtains the badge on Sunday at the registration table. We do not serve snack on a regular basis, an occasional special treat.
Q: What curriculum do you use?
252 Basics is our curriculum. Check it out at www.252Basics.org. Also visit…www.Rethinkgroup.net & www.Orangeleaders.com.
Q: What do the children do in Large Group?
In Studio 3, our large group creates an engaging environment for our monthly virtue and Bible teaching to come to life through participation with our host and speaker. Through games, skits, and interactive large group time children have a blast learning God’s word while bonding with peers and small group leaders!!
Q: What does a Small Group leader do?
A: Small group leaders are key in creating a safe, trusting environment for a child to grow in their relationship with Christ. They present interactive activities, where children can share openly through real-life discussions, creating an atmosphere for understanding and application of our monthly virtues. A small group leader commits to leading and impacting less than 10 children in a group within the studio on a consistent basis per our sessions.
Q: What are the serving sessions available in Studio 3?
We have designed our serving opportunities around our school year. This creates the most consistent opportunity for a child to be mentored by a small group leader. We offer two sessions; school year session (September through April) and summer session (May through August). This schedule also allows small group leaders the opportunity to refresh and serve in other areas.
Q: What is Hand N Hand?
Hand N Hand is the one on one program we have in place to allow the opportunity for students who have special needs to experience God’s word during our large and small group times in a safe and consistent manner.
